Haikou People's Hospital is a comprehensive Class A tertiary hospital integrating clinical care, medical education, scientific research, wellness and preventive medicine, rehabilitative medicine, and serves as a regional medical center for Hainan Province’s northern region. Haikou People’s Hospital was accredited as a Class A tertiary hospital in 1997, then became the Haikou Affiliated Hospital of Xiangya School of Medicine in 2003, and a Fudan University Huashan Hospital Friendship Hospital in 2016. In 2020, it became the Haikou Clinical Teaching Hospital of Central South University Xiangya School of Medicine.
